The Body Empowerment Project: Their mission revolves around decreasing eating disorder risk in adolescents and equipping them with the skills to live peacefully and healthfully in their bodies through meaningful, near-peer interactions. The Body Empowerment Project works to address eating disorder risk in youth by improving their body image and self-esteem, two major contributing factors in the development of these illnesses. By equipping students with the skills to talk about body image, health, and wellness, we are creating supportive communities of confident and capable young people.

Having partnered with these organizations, we have several aspects in common; through our research and studies, we effectively address mental concerns, by implementing two key components. Firstly, spearheading educational campaigns and raising awareness, where we create more positive relationships between individuals and their bodies. We focus on emphasizing the importance of healthy and balanced lifestyles. Rather than fixating on our appearances, which can help reshape the discourse surrounding body image. Moreover, we have created safe environments conducive to open discussions about body image and ensuring access to mental health resources, all of which are all crucial steps in supporting those grappling with body dissatisfaction.
